Who are we ?
“Passion and reason” are the common threads of the company’s achievements and are particularly evident in the TRILAM sailcloth range.
R&D IN ACTION
Technical textiles and technology
CLM was created in 2005 by Pascal Rossignol, a multidisciplinary engineer, after a wealth of experience acquired through his participation in cutting-edge projects in aeronautics (Airbus), space (CNES), the military sector (DCN) and nautical competition (America's Cup). Since 1993, he has also worked in the sailmaking market as a design office, designer, manufacturer of machines and consumables.
DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING
The company's mission is to design and manufacture innovative technical fabrics. For the moment, it has made the strategic choice to focus mainly on the nautical market, by developing its TRILAM range, most of whose innovations are subject to legal protection.
Requirement
The very high level of quality claimed by CLM for its applications has naturally led it to organize itself autonomously. Its industrial process, original and patented, was entirely designed from a specific concept.
Trades and know-how
EXTENSIVE MEANS
Starting from synthetic fibers and industrial raw materials available on the market, CLM integrates all the trades and know-how it needs:
- Textile and mechanical design office
- Mechanical laboratory tests
- Formulation of glues and resins
- Conventional weaving
- 2D fiber coating
- Lamination/Lamination
- Large 2D tracing
- Mechanical manufacturing (machining, boilermaking and assembly)
Our know-how is based on a set of details and attentions that are not always taken into account in other membrane manufacturing processes on the market.
Our CSR commitment
By nature, CLM seeks to reduce its environmental impacts.
In this regard, since 2017, we have tested linen fibers produced in Normandy.
Then, in 2020, CLM TRILam embarked on an ambitious R&D program with four partners (Sté All Purpose, Sté Kairos Environnement and Université Bretagne Sud).
This program, supported by ADEME, is a commitment to eco-designed sails, with a reduced environmental impact, and manufactured in France.
