Since 2014, CLM has been working with a new, high-performance software suite for aerodynamic calculations combined with structural calculations.
In fact, in the past we could carry out individual and separate studies, but the real advance is the total integration of the aero and structure modules in the design of each sail, in a natural and almost automatic way.
In addition to validating our structural choices in the design of TRILam membranes, 2015 allowed us to optimize weights and make progress on the load-bearing sails.

We have doubled the number of racers using TRILam compared to the previous edition. This confirms the competitiveness of the entire TRILam range in both flat sails and downwind sails.
Year after year, the confidence of the racers grows and more and more sailmakers give us the production of their membranes.

After its victory in the Spi Ouest France 2013, the MC 34 Patton raced in all the RORC races: with 9 trips to England and 45 days of sailing, Courrier Vintage took part in races and achieved results:
The crew had chosen an extra-light option of TRILam in Dyneema Spectra TDI fiber (Prestressed), which proved to be very efficient, durable and safer than the old TRIlam Aramid sails.

IRC Season 2013
2013
4 crews equipped with TRILam out of 20 starting: 3 in the first 5...
Thanks to our loyal and talented skippers, who allow us to progress each season, facing an increasingly ambitious field and competition.
Indeed, for the 4th season of the Open Class40 circuit, TRILam equips the leaders. Obviously the performance of the wide range of TRILam membranes has something to do with it, because whatever the Class40 models are at the forefront: Mach40, Pogo40, Akilaria40... the TRILam is always on board.
It is important to note that the mainsail of Mare.de (loaned by Alloys Claquin, following the dismasting of Mare.de during delivery) dates from 2010. Likewise, the mainsail of Campagne de France dates from 2011 with more than 30,000 miles covered, and visibly still as beautiful.
Normandy Chanel Race 2013: 1st, 3rd, 5th
The dominance of boats equipped with TRILam continues.
2013
2nd, “Jack In the Box” skippered by Aloys Claquin
3rd, "Mare.de" skippered by Jorg Riechers
These two Class 40s (Manuard design), which are configured more for offshore racing, were rewarded for their consistency in variable conditions and light airs over the last two days.
The weather conditions and the banana courses benefited the Spanish crew "Tales", formidable in this context, as during the 2010 World Championship in Gijon in the Basque Country. Congratulations to all three!

World Class 40 - 2012
2012
1st French Campaign (H.Mabire, M.Merron, C.Bouroullec / Pogo40 S2)
2nd Mare.de (Jorg Riecher and his crew / Mach40)
Both have continued the 4-year domination of boats equipped with TRILAM. Almost all of the races on the circuit have been won by Class 40s that have chosen Trilam for their sails.
These two boats are equipped with the latest generation of TRILAM based on very fine Dyneemaâ pre-stressed fibres, providing not only great longevity but also excellent shape retention. (Patented process which eradicates the traditional deformations of Spectra or Dyneema sails).

Since 2007, the Trilam has contributed to numerous victories in the IRC championships of England, Commodore's cup, Fasnet, Cowes-Dinard, SNIM, Challenge Atlantique UNCL, Porqueroles' cup.
Over the years, we have observed excellent longevity of Trilam sails over several racing seasons. In 2010, we further improved the durability of certain items thanks to anti-UV additives and an evolution in the treatment of the fibres.

2010
Large domination and victory of Tanguy De Lamotte and Adrien Hardy on Initiative/Novedia who declares:
"This race, which was very complete, turned out to be very tough. The boat endured, we even calculated that it took about 40,000 impacts in the troughs, the waves and the succession of the six depressions we encountered. Adrien and I really got on well and the fact that we were young perhaps helped us to have the drive all the time: we made all the decisions together and now, we are really going to savour this victory together."

Following on from the 4 competitors equipped in the previous Vendée Globe 2016, we are confirming our expertise with these 6 IMOCAs.
Unlike filament membranes, we have had no aging problems with our flat sails (J2-J3-GV).
Regarding the carrying sails, reliability gain validated thanks to the TPI range with or without cables.

In class40, victory for Ian Lipinsky and Adrien Hardy.
In IMOCA, after good results in 2015 (4th and 5th position), the old generation boats had a hard time facing the latest new boats. Our racers were ranked in 7th, 14th, 20th, 22nd and 23rd position, and still ensure their qualification for the Vendée 2020.

These TRILam Nylon membranes are mainly asymmetrical downwind sails, suitable for modern fast boats, because these boats need increasingly flat and resistant asymmetrical gennakers or spinnakers due to the apparent wind generated by their speed.
Like flat sails, woven sails are overtaken by the demands of fast boats, which is why TRILam Nylon was developed for less deformation, more strength and stability when sailing downwind.

This reminds us of the qualities of the TRILAM revealed particularly in double races with the JPK960 and JPK1010 for 2 seasons, namely: lightness, performance, great shape stability offering more tolerance in over-range and reliability.

The exceptional durability of TRILAM sails is confirmed (GV, Solent, Trinquette, Code 0, Code 2, Genaker) after more than 30,000 miles of racing on the world's oceans, without any after-sales service.
