SPRINT GENAKER RANGE

Monohull and Multihull Downwind Sails (Grand Prix and Ocean Racing)

sprint-genaker

This range responds to the evolution of modern boats, which are increasingly faster.

Nylon woven spinnakers and asymmetricals are often too fragile, or else, in 1.8 or 2.2 Oz, they become heavy without being stable when sailing.

Laminated materials like "Cz, Zl" are stronger but lack responsiveness and stability.

Gennaker membranes are suitable for flat downwind sails, but are too heavy and stiff for larger Asymmetrical or Code5 sails.

Lighter and more sensitive sails, which swell and lift at the slightest gust.

Sails that do not "pump", which fully transmit the pressure into the sheet and which allow for easier relaunch in choppy or irregular waves.

More stable sails that facilitate the work of the autopilot

In light air, a gain of about 10 degrees closer to the wind

Little distortion in breeze or gusts, allowing the sails to be kept

No weight gain: TRILAM does not absorb water and dries very quickly

Trilam Dyneema - Black Technora

This is the pre-stressed TRILam that we have been manufacturing since 2011, which combines continuous Spectra/Dyneema® fibers in pre-stressed layers with medium-section Black Technora®.

Continuous filament tech

This material combines smaller section fibers, Spectra/Dyneema®, with Black Technora® in very thin pre-stressed layers.

These membranes are very flexible and lighter.
They are incredibly easier to handle.

Tech wire curve

This material is a more economical, simplified version of TRILam, without the pre-stressed fibers, particularly for Polyester membranes required by certain classes.
